Berwyn Heights (MD) Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Inc. is a combination department, with both volunteer and career firefighter/EMTs working together. Station 14 currently operates three types of apparatus to handle the emergencies and incidents that occur in the area – a heavy rescue squad, a tractor-drawn aerial ladder truck, and a basic life support ambulance.

The Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad is a volunteers rescue organization that provides "World Champion" EMS Care to the citizens of Prince George's County, Maryland.

Long Meadow (MD) Volunteer Fire Department, also known as Station 27, is a 501(c)4 non-profit organization that has been in operations since 1971, currently has 45 volunteer responders, 15 administrative members, and 8 part-time driver/firefighters. The department regularly schedules team-building exercises, drills, and training to keep their skills honed. Additionally, the firefighters join mutual aid training drills.
