South King Fire and Rescue is a fire district rich in its history. The fire district covers nearly 41 square miles and protects nearly 150,000 citizens. The district is made up of what used to be five former fire districts.

The Safety Team Inc. is a complete fire protection company. Celebrating 37 years of business in June 2020, they provide testing, repairs, service and new installation of any and all fire protection systems.

The VRFA joined existing resources from the Auburn and Pacific Fire Departments to provide fire services to the communities of Algona, Auburn and Pacific. They provide Fire Prevention, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Operations, and Business Inspections.
