The Delta Fire Department is a full volunteer organization that has served the needs of Delta City and areas of western Millard County, dating back to 1941, when a hearty group of individuals determined there was a need for fire protection, and they set out to fill that need.

Delta Fire Systems was formed in 1963 by two fire protection engineers, William A. Pickett and Nels C. Sparr. Overtime, Delta Fire has grown to be one of the largest and most respected fire protection contractors in the inter-mountain area.
