On 19th March 1930, the Cabin John Park Volunteer Fire Department was incorporated to “control, prevent, limit and combat damage by fire…” Since 1930, it has grown into a large, professional volunteer department that takes pride in serving the community.

Based in Cumberland, Maryland, Fire Protection Products provides complete fire suppression solutions for the surrounding tri-state region. They provide Portable fire extinguisher sales and service, Kitchen and restaurant system installation and service, Special fire hazards; design, installation and maintenance and much more.

Pillar Innovations offers conventional and addressable fire alarm systems as well as early detection aspirating systems and video detection systems. They also provide design, installation, and inspection of fire suppression and detection equipment, from start to finish.

The Prince George's County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association represents 38 volunteer fire and rescue corporations in Prince George's County, Maryland, staffing 46 stations providing dedicated and continuous fire, rescue and EMS service to more than 700,000 citizens bordering the nation's capitol.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal is an agency of the Maryland Department of State Police. They are responsible for statewide fire, arson, and explosive investigations, enforcement of the State Fire Prevention Code, coordination of fire prevention efforts, and the collection of fire incident data.
