The District provides Fire, Rescue and Emergency Medical First Response to approximately 125 square miles of Northwest Wilson county and includes the City of La Vernia, Sutherland Springs, and the Kicaster area.

Wylie Fire Rescue is currently working on a structure fire on Tyler Trail. Crews responded to the home and the fire was under control quickly. No injuries were reported.
