Ceasefire Inert Gas System uses inert gas or natural gases to extinguish fire. Often used as a blend of gases, these gaseous mixtures leave no residue behind and are designed to protect enclosures where there is a need for quick reaction to extinguishing a fire. Once activated, the system dumps inert gases in the fire zone, bringing down the oxygen concentration in the fire zone below the fire threshold point. While the oxygen level is lowered, the system does not eliminate oxygen from the space altogether, leaving enough oxygen to support life but not fire!
