Darley wins major government defense contract

Continuing to execute their strategic plan to increase Federal Government business, W.S. Darley & Company, trusted worldwide since 1908, has been awarded another major contract by the Defense Logistics Agency for the Special Operational Equipment Tailored Logistics Support Program.

This program was previously referred to as a Prime Vendor contract. The new Special Operational Equipment Tailored Logistics Support Program is designed to provide worldwide support for the special operational equipment needs of the Department of Defense and Federal agencies.

Darley received a 100% Small Business Set Aside, indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery, multiple vendor contract for worldwide distribution. The contract period is a base of two years, and three one year options. The estimated value for the base 2 year period is $487,799,332.

According to W.S. Darley's president, Paul C. Darley, "We were selected as one of the four recipients of this award from a field of 14 bidders. We are excited to work with the Department of Defense to serve our Special Operational service members, and this is another major step in Darley's commitment to expanding our government business strategy. The contract has an estimated value of almost one-half billion dollars over the first two years, but realistically it will probably be less than that.

"Regardless, it's a huge milestone in our company's 100 year history."
