Fire department users of FLAME-SIM will discuss its benefits

FLAME-SIM is pleased to announce its attendance and participation at Fire Rescue International in Dallas, Texas on August 28th and 29th 2009, booth # 401. FLAME-SIM will also take part in the FRI Solution Showcase on Friday, August 28th at 2pm in room A128-129 and have an offsite demonstration at the City of Allen Fire Department.

Division Chief of Training Jonathan Boyd from City of Allen Fire Department (Texas) and Training Officer Brian Kimberly from City of Houston Fire Department will be speaking at the FLAME-SIM session of the FRI Solution Showcase to share their experiences with the cutting edge simulation software. Allen Fire Department and Houston Fire Department have seen considerable results including better fire ground communication, increased interoperability, and much more. Both Chief Jonathan Boyd and Officer Brian Kimberly have studied and spent significant time with the software and are currently incorporating it into their training curriculum.

Chief Jonathan Boyd and the City of Allen Fire Department have been using FLAME-SIM for six months. They have integrated the software into their training program and have started to see significant results. Allen's training program ranges from daily drills, half-day training sessions with other stations, all-day multi-city training and month-long certification courses.

Houston Fire Department, the fourth largest department in the nation, has been working with the revolutionary software over the past two and a half months their training staff as already started to see rapid changes. Officer Brian Kimberly and Houston Fire Department are not unfamiliar with the simulation software revolution for they previously developed their own simulation software called the HFD Strategic Simulator in January of 2009. The Houston Fire Department has added FLAME-SIM to its simulation training regimen and both HFD Strategic Simulator and FLAME-SIM are being used at Houston Fire Department's new regional training facility which recently underwent a two million dollar renovation and had its grand opening on June 8th 2006.

Also, Allen Fire Department has opened up their training center to all that are interested to see the simulation software in action. You will be able to tour their facilities and speak with firefighters that have been using the software for the past six months. The Allen Training Station is located at 310 Century Parkway in Allen, Texas 75013; it is approximately a half an hour away from the Dallas Convention Center. If you are interested in attending this off site demonstration please contact Bob Hayes, FLAME-SIM National Sales Manager, (800) FLAME01 (352-6301).

If you are unable to attend the Solution Showcase FLAME-SIM session or the off site demonstration be sure to stop by FLAME-SIM booth # 401 in the Dallas Convention Center on August 28tth or August 29th. The FLAME-SIM staff will be available to answer questions and there will also be kiosks in the booth with the full version of the simulation software. The kiosks will allow you to get first hand experience with the software and see the safe and cost effective training that FLAME-SIM provides.
