Oakley announces a partnership with Twiceme Technology, the safe-tech company based out of Sweden. The product design and sports performance brand will debut the integration of twICEme in an upcoming helmet launch for its spring 2023 collection.

Oakley’s history of innovation will combine with Twiceme Technology to enhance the overall safety of its new line of helmets by offering the latest in smart equipment.

integrated technology

twICEme is an integrated technology that allows users to store personal safety information in their gear. Data such as allergies, previous injuries, insurance information, emergency contacts, and more can all be uploaded to the user’s profile via the twICEme app.

In a situation where the user is injured or unresponsive, medical and rescue professionals can access their profile, even without the app, by simply tapping their smartphone on the twICEme symbol displayed on the equipment. Access to this safety information will give first responders a clear, efficient way to make decisions in the case of an emergency where time is often most critical.

High performance

Weaving a smart element into gear at a production level brings performance to a new height

Oakley’s decision to team up with Twiceme Technology epitomizes the decades of innovation they have brought to both traditional and action sports arenas. It is this type of innovation that will prolong participation and garner more future participants.

Weaving a smart element into gear at a production level brings performance to a new height beyond expected safety and function. Oakley’s wealth of knowledge and history in the action sports community goes to show that safe sport is a better sport.

Ryan Saylor adds, “Implementing twICEme into our helmets achieves that goal while providing additional safety measures for riders. This partnership will prove fruitful not only for the immediate protection of riders but also in providing a glimpse into the future of the sport as we know it.”

Making action sports safer

We believe that personal safety equipment can be greatly benefitted from becoming smart as it could make practitioners of action sports safer,” says Christian Connolly, CEO of Twiceme Technology.

Christian Connolly adds, “Through Oakley's partnership and integration of twICEme in their coming collection of helmets, we continue to take large strides towards establishing our safety tech as an industry standard for action sports in the future.”
