The VM-3000 product range from TOA Electronics Europe will be on show at International Firex 2009

TOA offers easy-to-configure, cost-effective products at International Firex

Audio specialists, TOA Electronics Europe returns to the International Firex show this year with the most comprehensive range of audio products it has ever offered to the fire and security communities. The company will show a range of solutions for public address and voice alarm as well as emergency evacuation applications, with the emphasis on networkability, scalability, and ease of use.

"All of TOA's PA/VA systems have fireman's microphone options, and are easy to integrate with fire detection systems," says Brett Downing, Sales & Marketing Director, TOA Europe. "That makes International Firex the perfect place to demonstrate not just the technology inside our products, but the way in which they make life simpler for installers and end-users alike."

Among the highlights on TOA's Firex stand will be the new VM-3000 PA/VA system, designed as a cost-effective solution for smaller retail, leisure and education facilities. The system is compact and can be set up directly from its front panel without the need for connection to a PC, yet is expandable to a maximum of 60 loudspeaker zones, each with its own programmable sound-level setting.

Also on the TOA stand is the SX-2000 - the most sophisticated PA/VA system ever offered by the company. Running on an IP backbone that allows it to use a copper or fibre-optic infrastructure - or a combination of the two - the SX-2000 has been designed for large-scale commercial applications such as shopping malls, sports arenas and college campuses, and can also be deployed across multiple sites.

In addition to its system hubs, TOA will show a range of amplifiers, processors, loudspeakers and installation accessories - all with the company's trademark high standards of innovation and engineering for a diverse range of markets.

"TOA products are fully compliant with all the relevant fire and safety standards," adds Downing. " The effectiveness of voice alarm in evacuating a facility in the event of fire is well-proven, and because every link in our system chain is built to the same standards, contractors who specify TOA know that their installations will have the clarity and intelligibility needed for effective emergency communication."

With a strong background in security as well as life safety, TOA also benefits from the co-location of Firex with the IFSEC tradeshow in adjacent halls of the NEC. "It really is a double whammy for us," Downing concludes. "We expect to welcome professionals from a wide range of disciplines to our stand, and are confident that, with our fully integrated solutions, high level of technical support and can-do attitude, we will have something to offer everyone. We're going to have a very busy few days!"

TOA Europe will be on Stand B45 at International Firex, NEC Birmingham, from 11-14 May 2009.
