INTERSCHUTZ’s 2015 TFA competition for the first time will also include team relays

It’s one of the most popular items on the INTERSCHUTZ supporting program: the Toughest Firefighter Alive (TFA) competition. The INTERSCHUTZ round of TFA has traditionally been a European Championship round, but in 2015 it will feature as part of the World Championships. The preparations for the event have been ongoing for quite some time, and chief organizer Claudia Consoir-Taube has been receiving registrations from all over Europe and beyond.

“In 2015, visitors can expect another top-notch event,” Ms. Consoir-Taube promises. “As always, it’ll be an exciting mix of head-to-head competition, sports and entertainment. The world’s best firefighters will be demonstrating the strength, coordination and fitness they rely on in their day-to-day work.” The 2015 competition will for the first time also include team relays. As usual, the World Championships will be preceded by the European Championships, which will be held in June 2014 in Mönchengladbach. The 2014 season will be the 16th European Championship event in the TFA series.

Registrations are now open for currently serving front-line firefighters who would like to be part of the TFA competition at INTERSCHUTZ.
