Mobility and multimedia technology demonstrations at IEEE GLOBECOM 2010

Telcordia will display 3D Media Search, Telematics, Context Aware Services and Network Product Integrity at IEEE GLOBECOM 2010.

Telcordia, a global leader in the development of IP, wireline, and mobile telecommunications software and services, will demonstrate a slate of advanced mobility and multimedia technology demonstrations at IEEE Global Communications Conference (IEEE GLOBECOM 2010) in Miami, Florida on December 6-10.

At the event, which is focused on "Moving into the Age of Mobile Interactivity," Telcordia will highlight the following technology innovations:

  • 3D Media Search technology, which creates an interactive, high-resolution, 3D representation of videos on a user's device. This enables the user to save time and money by seeing the content before streaming it.
  • Telematics Platform, which supports telematics solution delivery by collecting, monitoring and storing data to support key functions including real-time GPS tracking, alert notification, vehicle dispatching, and two–way messaging.
  • Context Aware Services, that deliver proactive intelligent reminders around where, when, and how to proceed using the current user location and user information such as appointments, personal tasks, and social networks.
  • Network Product Integrity, is a compilation of environmental testing images and concepts. The demonstration provides the viewer with a taste of the real-world threats to network equipment and the importance of robust design in order to survive them. Think fire, vibration, lightning, radiated electric fields, and extreme temperatures.
