The National Fire Protection Association was founded in 1896 to help prevent injury, death, and economic losses resulting from fires.

NFPA is a global nonprofit organization with a membership of over 60,000 worldwide. NFPA’s consensus standards and building codes are a recognized benchmark around the world for quality fire safety construction practices.

Fire safety education

In addition to its standard-setting work, NFPA also serves the public with information, advocacy, and outreach programs designed to emphasize a safety mindset in every stage of construction, equipment, and occupation of commercial and residential buildings.

Statcomm is proud to design and install life safety and fire suppression systems

This includes information and emergency planning for wildfires, a perennial problem in California; child and elder fire safety education; and advocacy within local, state, and federal building code enforcement organizations to adopt codes which help preserve lives and property to the maximum possible degree. Statcomm is proud to design and install life safety and fire suppression systems which meet or exceed the stringent requirements of NFPA, as well as other regulatory and standard-setting bodies, both private and public.

Fire suppression system

At Statcomm, they make it the business to know and understand the intricacies of both NFPA and other codes, so they can deliver a fire suppression system plan which offers the code compliance the user needs and the safety residents and tenants expect and deserve.

They also make it their business to educate the clients about how and why these codes and specifications can affect both new construction and existing designs. Within certain limitations, they can offer informed speculation as to how future codes may change and evolve, allowing them to design systems which are more likely to stay in compliance and therefore reduce anticipated retrofitting costs over time.
