On Tuesday, April 24, 2018, St Neots Fire Station celebrated its 50th anniversary. To mark the occasion, current and past members of St Neots Fire Station came together for a special event to celebrate its history.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service, Station Commander Vicky Best, commented: “We were honored to be joined by so many past and current serving members of St Neots Fire Station for our 50th Anniversary. Many things have changed over the years, and it was great to be able to share memories of our experiences during the last five decades”.

"Continuing the celebration, a special 50th Anniversary open day will be held at the Station on Saturday 30 June from 10 am, where we hope many people in the community will be able to join us in celebrating our history.”

Tribute to old and new

The open day will have tributes to the old and the new, and visitors will get the chance to see the latest equipment, as well as some of the old equipment from the 1960s fire engines.

It’s set to be great fun for all the family, with a BBQ, ‘dunk a firefighter’, Ambulance Service CPR demo, bouncy castle, and much more!
