| Sprue Safety has become the first to achieve the LPS 1282 approval for its combined detectors |
Sprue Safety Products’ First Alert range of battery powered combination carbon monoxide and photoelectric smoke alarm (SCO5) has become the first to pass the rigorous approval requirements of LPS 1282 (Requirements and Testing Procedures for Combined Domestic Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors).
This standard addresses a gap in the marketplace for combined domestic smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Figures reveal that in 2010-11 there were a total of 262 deaths (212 from dwelling fires and 50 CO-related).
