Realistic crash situations were created with vehicles and casualties. The teams had to rescue the trapped casualties safely and were awarded points on their performance.

Makita Rescue Tools from Vimpex have helped Royal Berkshire Fire & Rescue to be crowned champions at the recent World Extrication Challenge held in New Zealand.

Teams from all over the world competed in three challenging extrication scenarios. Realistic crash situations were created with vehicles and casualties. The teams had to rescue the trapped casualties safely and were awarded points on their performance. This year Royal Berkshire were announced as world champions after coming 1st, 2nd and 4th in the three exercises. They were also awarded Best Team Leader, 2nd place for Best Medic and 3rd place for Technical Ability.

Commenting on their recent success, James Jones, Commercial Director for Vimpex, said "We are delighted to have helped Royal Berkshire in their championship win and would like to thank the team for proudly wearing Vimpex badges during the competition."
