Rosenbauer launches the GAROS G30, a new protective suit that can handle virtually all firefighting operations. It is suitable for all rescue operations and also provides the protection required by the standard in firefighting operations, except indoors (heat protection X level 1).
During its development, special attention was paid to wearing comfort, with the FIRE FLEX, the premium product among Rosenbauer's protective suits, as the inspiration. The visual design and cut are largely identical, but the GAROS G30 is significantly lighter. At just under 3,000 grams (in the medium sizes), it weighs around fifteen percent less.
Tried and tested fabric composition
The new universal protective suit is made of materials that have already proven themselves thousands of times in firefighting operations.
The Nomex®NXT outer fabric gives the GAROS G30 sturdy mechanical properties (tensile strength, tear propagation resistance ...), making it easy to care for and long-lasting. Due to the long-term impregnation applied, the suit can be washed up to 40 times without the need for further re-impregnation.
three-layer fabric composition
The membrane protects against the penetration of viruses and bacteria when in contact with sick or injured persons
The three-layer fabric composition with a comfortable aramide-viscose blend lining and a membrane between the lining and the outer fabric ensures high breathability combined with heat resistance, wind- and water tightness. While the suit forms a reliable barrier against moisture from the outside, perspiration is quickly transported away from the body, and heat build-up is avoided.
The GAROS G30 achieves a Ret value (water vapor permeation resistance) well below the standard. In addition, the membrane protects against the penetration of viruses and bacteria when in contact with sick or injured persons.
Innovative design
The ergonomic design gives the GAROS G30 a great fit and freedom of movement. The specially designed shoulder-arm construction and improved sleeve cuts (pre-shaped elbows) particularly contribute to increased mobility.
For example, the jacket fits perfectly even when working overhead and is not pulled up with the arm position. The trousers are also ergonomically pre-shaped in the knee area, while the removable suspenders ensure a very balanced weight distribution of the trousers on the shoulders.
Uniform design
The design is largely identical to FIRE FLEX so that all emergency crews can be equipped with the same appearance
The new GAROS G30 is available in the color combinations black-blue and gold with red or gold shoulder areas. The design is thus largely identical to that of the FIRE FLEX so that all emergency crews of a fire department can be equipped with PPE of the same appearance.
For example, the SCBA crew with the FIRE FLEX (level 2), all others with the GAROS G30 (level 1), basic color of the suits in uniform black-blue, differentiated by easily recognizable, differently colored shoulder areas. In addition, the protective suit is also available in an orange version and a gold-colored jacket version with black-blue shoulders.
Certified suit
The GAROS G30 protective jacket is available in finely tailored double sizes, the GAROS G30 protective trousers are in individual sizes of five lengths each and can be adapted and personalized to the wearer's needs with numerous accessories.
The new universal suit is certified according to EN 469:2020, protection level X1 (heat transfer), Y2 (water tightness) and Z2 (water vapor permeability), as well as EN ISO 11612:2015 (performance level A1 + B2 + C1), EN 343:2019 and EN 1149-5 (anti-static). The GAROS G30 will be available from the end of March 2022.
