The 'Pink Ribbon Engine' provides support to the cause of National Breast Cancer Foundation

The Pink ribbon engine is an American LaFrance Eagle Pumper, is unique in decoration and color.

Code 3 Collectibles is proud to release the first "Pink Ribbon" Fire Engine to honor the many Women in Firefighting, on Friday October 1, 2010, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month. The San Francisco American LaFrance Pink Ribbon Engine has some special significance as it is the first in a series that will continue in the years ahead.

"The National Breast Cancer Foundation was happy to hear about the Code 3 Collectibles plan to do something special for Women in Firefighting several months ago. When I received a sample of a model truck, I was impressed with the detail and quality of the product and liked the idea even more. Even more impressive was the plan to produce a model with the Pink Ribbon on it to raise money for the Foundation. It is a fitting tribute to this cause and we are pleased to have Code 3 associated with NBCF and hope it becomes an annual release during Breast Cancer Awareness month." Brent Hail, Sr. Vice President Development, National Breast Cancer Foundation.

This Engine, an American LaFrance Eagle Pumper, is unique in decoration and color. The model is painted in a deep burgundy and has the 100th anniversary logo on its sides. It is decorated with a Pink Ribbon just as the real model does in the month of October in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Code 3 will make a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation to fulfill their mission to save lives through early detection and education.
