The HX Series is purpose-built to deliver Uptime in every aspect of its productivity, efficiency, reliability and performance

International Truck announced recently it has received its largest one-time order of International® HX™ Series trucks to date. RLJ Thompson Trucking, Inc., based in Concord, Va., has purchased 15 HX620 trucks equipped with the powerful 15-liter Cummins® ISX engine.

Launches HX Series trucks

International Truck recently launched the HX Series, a new line of Class 8 premium vocational trucks designed to deliver the strength and endurance required for the severe service industry at the 2016 World of Concrete trade show.

“We already have orders for more than 300 trucks and that number is growing by the day,” said Jeff Sass, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Navistar. “This interest is fueled by how we designed our new HX Series based on in-depth discussions with leading Class 8 vocational customers. Each of the four models in the series has been engineered to deliver unmatched performance for the most punishing jobsites while also making operators more productive.”

Purpose-built to deliver Uptime

The HX Series is purpose-built to deliver Uptime in every aspect of its productivity, efficiency, reliability and performance. Each model in the HX Series delivers on four key principles of design: maximum strength and durability, driver productivity, bold styling and superior uptime.

RLJ Thompson Trucking, Inc. will continue to meet its customers’ aggregate hauling needs throughout Virginia, Maryland, Washington, DC, North Carolina and South Carolina, by adding the new HX620 powered dump trucks to its fleet.

“We ordered the new HX Series trucks because we are excited about the bold design that offers a sturdy, yet lightweight truck powered by the ISX engine,” said Ricky Thompson, President of RLJ Thompson Trucking, Inc. “As with previous International Truck purchases, we value our relationship and superior support service provided by our International dealer, Powell’s Truck and Equipment, Inc.”

International is taking orders for this vehicle immediately. The first vehicles will be delivered this spring.
