A new course aimed at insurance professionals has been launched by the National Flood School, which gives a real insight into the damage that fire causes in the home.

The National Flood School is putting its state-of-the-art Flood House to a new use by setting fire to the property as part of the Fire Damage Awareness Day.

Steven Lounds of the National Flood School said: “The Fire Damage Awareness Day gives insurance professionals a chance to see the damage a fire can cause firsthand, rather than what they hear from a policyholder on the phone." “What stands out is the level of smoke and soot damage, even from a small fire.”
