In order to inform an NFCC (National Fire Chiefs Council) Health and Wellbeing strategy, colleagues from Nottingham Trent University have been tasked with conducting a survey, to map health and well-being across fire and rescue service staff, in order to better understand current and future needs.

Health and Well-being strategy

The NFCC Health and Wellbeing strategy will reflect the health and well-being needs of people in the fire safety industry, across all careers.

Led by Dr. Rowena Hill, the Associate Professor of Disaster and Emergencies, in conjunction with NFCC’s People program, responses to the survey will help to establish current demand and create a clear picture of any challenges faced by FRS staff.

How role impacts support required and given

The survey specifically aims to address how role impacts support required and given, and general perceptions of a person’s health, well-being and life in general.

The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete and will close on 3 July, 2022.
