Hochiki Europe's new appointments will drive it forward and further improve its offering to the market

Hochiki Europe, the leading manufacturer of innovative life safety solutions, has announced a number of promotions and new appointments to its team that will drive it forward and further improve its offering to the market.

The company has enhanced its already successful sales operation with the promotion of Rob Head from sales support to a new role as sales executive – a clear example of the company’s commitment to employee career development and training. His wealth of product and technical expertise will be a valuable asset to the team and he will use it to develop Hochiki within the African marketplace that he will be supporting.

Head’s previous position in the sales support function will now be covered by Mark Weatherley, who will work alongside new recruit Terry Owen, who joins the company from EMS Group. The expertise Owen gained while with his former employer on the subject of wireless fire detection will be of significant benefit to Hochiki and its customers as it looks to promote its FIREwave solution.

To further develop its overseas customer base, the company has also welcomed Vadim Smith to its export sales team. A fluent Russian, English and French speaker, Smith will work in the European region – expanding Hochiki’s presence and strengthening its market share in the area.

The company is also in the process of adding further personnel to its sales team and more appointments will be announced throughout 2012.

In order to build on its reputation for the quality, flexibility and reliability of its products, Hochiki has made two further appointments: Mehedi Alam has been promoted from Production Engineer in the manufacturing process to Technical Support Engineer. His technical knowledge of the production processes used in the manufacture of Hochiki products will be valued by the Technical Support Department. And Kevin St Ange has been appointed as a new design engineer. An alumnus of the University of Canterbury, St Ange will work on the design, research and development of exciting and innovative life safety products.

Tomoki Ikeda, managing director of Hochiki Europe, commented, ‘Being in a position where we are able to take on new staff is an indicator of Hochiki’s ongoing success. Rob, Mark, Terry, Vadim, Mahedi and Kevin’s experience, knowledge and determination to succeed in their respective roles will ensure that Hochiki Europe continues to grow and achieve its strategic objectives. I am delighted that they have joined us and wish them every success.’
