The Krommenie fire department in the Dutch safety region 'Zaanstreek-Waterland' received a new foam firefighting vehicle from Ziegler Brandweertechniek B.V. on July 29th, 2024. The vehicle is based on a 4-axle Mercedes-Benz Arocs 8×4/4 chassis with an engine output of 460 kW (625 HP).

The standard Mercedes-Benz cab offers space for a crew of 1+1. The ALPAS superstructure makes it possible to carry over 11,000 liters of extinguishing agent and ensures the necessary robustness and durability of the vehicle in everyday operations.

ZIEGLER ZPF foam system

The vehicle is also equipped with a 250 kg powder extinguishing system

The built-in ZIEGLER FPN 10-8000-1H centrifugal fire pump is capable of handling high flow rates of extinguishing agents and, in combination with the ZIEGLER ZPF foam proportioning system, ensures effective firefighting.

The two remote-controlled front and roof turrets deliver the extinguishing agent safely and accurately. The vehicle is also equipped with a 250 kg powder extinguishing system.

For fast and flexible deployment, the vehicle also has two low-pressure hose reels, each 40 meters long and each with a delivery rate of 400 liters per minute.

Intuitive and user-guided Z-Control operating system

The vehicle is operated via the intuitive and user-guided Z-Control operating system, which enables simple and efficient control of all functions, even under stress.

Together, the submersible pumps deliver around 8,000 liters per minute at an inlet pressure of 3.5 bar. Two 3'' connections were selected for the connection.
