On 10 July 2024, it was officially announced in the Dutch government gazette - Staatscourant that Kiwa subsidiary - Vinçotte has been designated as a certified body for nuclear inspections in the Netherlands for the next two years.

This designation allows Vinçotte to conduct inspections for nuclear pressure equipment during all phases of the inspection process, including design, commissioning and operation.

The designation of inspection organizations for nuclear pressure equipment is determined nationally. Vinçotte is already recognized by the Belgian and French authorities.

The Dutch recognition strengthens Vinçotte’s reputation as a specialist with extensive experience and expertise in this field. Vinçotte has a proven track record in inspecting and certifying critical installations, including in the nuclear sector.

This designation also marks a significant development for the Dutch nuclear industry, which has plans for the construction of new nuclear power plants. 

Vinçotte's designation as a third independent and qualified body ensures that inspections of nuclear pressure equipment are carried out according to the highest standards and regulations.
