A major renovation and restoration of the historic Central Bank of Albania in Tirana, that includes the construction of a new building to house a new Numismatic Museum, is being protected by a new fire safety system that includes a Kentec fire alarm control panel.
Housed in the ground and first floors of the central corpus of the Bank, originally designed by prominent Italian architect Vittorio Ballio Morpurgo in 1934-36, the Museum of Bank of Albania aims to create a new public place that will include a new Numismatic Museum, a new conference hall for 150 people, offices, meetings room, an internal gallery, a roof garden and underground four-levels parking.
Flexible cause and effect capabilities
Leading fire safety solutions company, Sphinx Security Solutions, designed the system around a two-loop Kentec Syncro AS analogue addressable fire control panel with Apollo XP95 range analogue addressable detectors, call points and sounders to provide a complete building system solution with flexible cause and effect capabilities.
The whole system is fully controlled by a Kentec Graphical User Interface, which among its many features provides a comprehensive history logging and reporting system, allowing analysis of events and trends to be identified to reduce unwanted alarms.
