Infographics UK Ltd., a specialist software manufacturer, and Microsoft Gold Partner, announces that Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service (MAWWFRS) has selected their FireWatch solution and additional Microsoft Azure cloud hosting services.
MAWWFRS is responsible for providing public safety information, prevention and protection programmes, and emergency response cover across an area of 4,500 square miles – almost two thirds of Wales. The organisation, which employs over 1,400 members of staff, will implement Infographics’ market-leading FireWatch application, which is already in use at around one third of all UK Fire and Rescue services.

This specialised solution for Fire and Rescue Enterprise Resource Planning and Management will be delivered via Azure, Microsoft's global cloud platform for building, deploying, and managing services and applications.
Project Manager Steve McLinden, MAWWFRS, said: “Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service are targeting process and system efficiencies as part of their ‘Transformation 2020 programme’ and FireWatch stood out as a key enabler to deliver greater integrated working and quality performance data across the organisation. The system will support planned new ways of working and increase electronic processes and workflow through its integrated specialist modules.”
First phase
The first phase of the project will focus on deployment of FireWatch modules for human resource planning & management, self-service, health & safety, time management, payment calculation, and interfacing with payroll. It also encompasses deployment and management of the Azure hosted environment by Infographics. Subsequent phases will cover training & development, vehicle & staff availability planning & management, the deployment of a mobilisation system interface, and other aspects.
