The Secutech Vietnam fringe program is well known for focusing on the most important regional security and fire safety issues. This year, the spotlight is on several key questions: What’s the future of access control? How can business owners and property managers reduce false alarms at monitoring stations? And how can we respond more swiftly to genuine threats using AI, while reducing operating costs?

With more than 350 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions at the fairground, and thousands of trade visitors attending the show, this year’s fringe program provides the perfect opportunity for knowledge to be shared.

Mobile access control systems are expected to become prevalent across sectors such as commercial buildings, residential complexes, hospitality, education, and healthcare. Meanwhile, smart transportation and license plate recognition (LPR) is poised to become a popular topic in the Vietnamese market as the government emphasizes a well-connected and secure transportation network.

AI applications for fire alarm equipment

In response to the growing market demand for fire alarm equipment in the local market, driven by Hanoi’s strictly enforced fire regulations and inspections, the Conference on Applying AI Technology to Fire Alarm Equipment will be held on 19 July. Running from 1 pm to 5 pm in the Seminar Room on 2/F, the conference will be kicked off with opening remarks from government representatives from the Fire Police Department and Ministry of Public Security.

Growing market demand for fire alarm equipment in the local market, driven by Hanoi’s regulations

Industry experts and academics from 3SCorp, KFI (Korea), Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, NFES (Japan), SCDF (Singapore), the University of Fire Prevention and Fighting, Viettel, and Z113 will be present to discuss a range of future-focused topics, such as AI technology applications in equipment incident reporting, remotely-controlled unmanned firefighting aircraft, firefighting robots, and many more.

Panel discussion

A panel discussion between government units and industry players will follow on 20 July. Attendees will be provided with opportunities to share and learn new ideas from industry experts and government officials. Secutech Vietnam will feature more than 350 local and overseas exhibitors from 23 countries and regions displaying their latest products and technologies across 12,000 sqm of exhibition space. In addition to country pavilions from Japan, Korea, Singapore, and Vietnam, individual exhibitors will also be present from Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Italy, Luxembourg, Malaysia, New Zealand, Poland, Sweden, Taiwan, the UAE, the UK, and the US.

An expected 12,000 visitors are also anticipated to source from the fair’s comprehensive range of product categories including two concurrent events: Fire & Safety and SMAbuilding. In addition to various conferences and seminars, value-added services such as the one-on-one business matching program will be arranged.
