Hochiki Europe, a major provider of fire detection and life safety solutions, is delighted to announce that they have been shortlisted as finalists for the Fire Safety Project of the Year Award at the Fire Safety Matters (FSM) Awards 2024.
This prestigious award recognizes excellence in fire safety design, installation, and commissioning. Hochiki's nomination comes for their work alongside Southern Fire Alarms on the new Livingstone Academy, Bournemouth, a state-of-the-art educational facility that opened in September 2023.
advanced fire protection
Hochiki's advanced fire protection technology plays a vital role in safeguarding Livingstone Academy. The project utilized Hochiki's intelligent ESP range of products, using over 400 devices across the entire site.
A network of ALN smoke detectors and ACD Multi-Sensors from the ESP range were chosen due to their EN54 accreditation, and the ACD’s ability to detect across three sensing elements, heat, smoke, and CO. This comprehensive system ensures total fire coverage throughout the entire facility, providing early warning and allowing for a swift response to any potential emergencies.

The winners of the FSM Awards will be announced at a ceremony on 12th June 2023 at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
