Hochiki Europe, the leading manufacturer of innovative life safety solutions, has opened a new office in Dubai in order to promote its industry leading fire detection and emergency lighting systems across the Middle East. The company will celebrate this new venture by showcasing its wide range of products at Intersec Dubai, which takes place on the 15th-17th January 2013.
Hochiki Europe has enjoyed a successful presence in the Middle East for many years and as part of its on-going expansion plans it has taken the step of opening a dedicated local office that will provide sales and technical support across the region. The new office, located in the prestigious Dubai Silicon Oasis, follows the introduction of similar operations in Australia, Mexico and India that enable customers to benefit from an improved user experience.
Explaining the rationale behind this latest move, Stuart Davies, Hochiki Europe’s marketing manager, said, ‘As one of the world’s most vibrant and dynamic business locations the Middle East has witnessed rapid development, and this has led to growing recognition of the need to keep those that live and work in buildings safe from the dangers of fire. The staff in our new office will be able to promote Hochiki across a diverse array of market sectors and our long-term objective is to establish a distinct trading division that will allow us to service end user requirements via a centrally administered distribution network.’
To celebrate its enhanced local presence, Hochiki will once again exhibit a wide variety of its UL and EN approved fire detection and emergency lighting systems at Intersec Dubai, the premier trading platform and networking event for security and safety professionals in the Middle East.
Hochiki’s experts will be on hand to demonstrate the company’s analogue addressable and conventional products including panels, sensors, bases, call points and peripherals, and explain the benefits of Hochiki’s Enhanced Systems Protocol (ESP) – a total communications solution for intelligent fire detection and fully integrated systems.
Hochiki has forged an excellent reputation within the region’s oil & gas and commercial sectors. Its ranges of marine approved and hazardous area products will take centre stage alongside other specialist application products, including: voice evacuation, disabled refuge and aspirating fire detection systems.
Other highlights include a live working demonstration of FIREscape+. This unique system integrates addressable fire detection and emergency lighting technology to provide an intelligent way-finding solution that represents a step-change in how people safely evacuate buildings. A traditional emergency lighting system does not allow signs to be ‘shut off’, which can direct people into the path of danger. FIREscape+ addresses this by identifying where in the building the fire is taking place and communicating the safest route.
