Imbotex, founded in 1955 in Cittadella (PD) in an area of recognized manufacturing excellence, is a company in the sector of natural and technical padding.

Characterized by a dynamic and innovative approach carried out by historically female management, the company has exploited the know-how acquired in over half a century of history to project itself towards an international horizon.

Circular economy model

Imbotex takes part in the A + A Fair in Dusseldorf in October, to present an exclusive upcycling and real circular economy project to the world of protective clothing.

The circular economy model arises from the urgency of encouraging sustainable growth, in response to the growing pressure to which production and consumption are subjecting world resources and the environment. Up to now, the economy has followed a linear “production-consumption-disposal” model, where every product is inexorably destined to reach the “end of life”.

Economic Paradigm

The transition from a linear to a circular economy is the only solution in terms of economic sustainability"

The circular economy, on the other hand,” says Stefania Carniello, CEO of Imbotex “constitutes a new economic paradigm aiming at a reduction of waste and a radical rethinking in the conception of products and in their use over time.”

The transition from a linear to a circular economy is the only solution in terms of safeguarding the planet and economic sustainability that represents a new development opportunity in terms of competitiveness, innovation, environment, and employment.”

Innovative product and processes

Imbotex has strategically rethought the processes and relationships of the supply chain, thanks to the synergy between innovative product and process technical skills with new commercial and marketing strategies.”

“The candidacy of products such as NATIVA, CAMELUXE, and LUXEPAD at the most important sports fairs has led to the awarding of some of the most prestigious prizes in the sports field,” says Roberta Carniello, Sales Manager of the company.

Upcycling

Upcycling is a neologism that combines two concepts that do not always go hand in hand: on the one hand, recycling; on the other hand, the enhancement of waste materials used for the development of products with higher added value.

In 2019 Imbotex Lab was born, holder of a patent for the purely mechanical process of recycling pre-consumer post-industrial scraps, zero waste, zero water, and low environmental impact. In 2020 the important collaboration was born with D-Air Lab, a new co-founded by Lino Dainese.

Innovative equipment

The technical innovations in the Antarctica suit will allow researchers to carry out their planned tasks

The Antarctica project was born to provide scientists and researchers working in extreme climatic conditions with innovative equipment, capable of effectively protecting them from environmental conditions without compromising mobility and freedom of movement.

The technical innovations contained in the Antarctica suit will allow researchers to carry out their planned tasks in Antarctica, the coldest place on the planet where minimum temperatures can drop as low as -89 ° C with winds of up to 327km / h.

Design, manufacture garments for different environments

The outer suit is obtained with a layering of three different materials, each of which performs a very specific function, to offer maximum warmth. The layers closest to the body retain heat and move moisture out, while the outermost layers protect against cold and wind.

Since 2016 Imbotex has been collaborating with Alfredo Grassi spa, a manufacturer of technical clothing founded in 1925 and is a large international group. The long experience and a strong propensity for innovation have allowed Alfredo Grassi to design and manufacture technical garments for different working environments and various risk situations, from chemical to electric, from fire to ballistic.

Innovation

"Innovation pervades all levels of our business, from concept to production, up to customer services involving our entire supply chain,” explains President Roberto Grassi.

We are among the first to have introduced new processing techniques and assembly, new accessories and new materials, such as Graphene G +.”

Protection and comfort

SizeYou smartphone allows simplifying the detection of anthropometric measurements and the assignment of sizes"

All to offer maximum protection and comfort, for garments that are worn for many hours in often extreme conditions. We have opted for the latest generation of intelligent labels, such as the Tracking Wash Sensor capable of transmitting information on the garment throughout its life cycle.”

Among the latest innovations we are implementing is the SizeYou smartphone which allows you to simplify the detection of anthropometric measurements and the assignment of sizes.”

Sustainability

To be added is the company's commitment to sustainability, a concrete and certified commitment on both the social and environmental fronts. Also in this, Alfredo Grassi wants to be at the forefront in the textile sector by obtaining, among the first companies in Italy, the PEF (Product Environmental Footprint) certification for its products.

It is precisely this latter certification that makes the importance of the supply chain even more evident and tangible in a complex sector such as that of technical clothing: from suppliers to customers, everyone must be made aware of the importance of creating increasingly innovative, sustainable and safe."
