Paul, Chris, and Tim Galvin are announcing that they have made the decision to let go of the sand-casting section of its factory. Its last pour is currently scheduled for the middle of December 2022.
Although this has been a tough decision, it has been made to better focus on the core, which is the design and manufacture of safe, green, and smart water solutions for high-risk and high-care environments.
Customer service
It is important to note that while Galvin will no longer be doing castings in-house, it will continue to service its customers by sourcing castings through its network of world-class foundries which they have partnered with over many years, and by providing all other manufacturing services.

All other sections of their production facility will continue to operate at full steam ahead. Galvin will be investing further into its key factory areas, including CNC and manual machining, brazing, polishing, assembly, testing, and R&D. It will also continue to grow technical, sales, and warehousing teams in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth, and build export markets in USA, UK, NZ, and Singapore.
job opportunities and future
The welfare of the team is paramount, so the utmost care will be taken of people during this process. Galvin will ensure all affected staff are either employed in other areas of operations or supported to find new jobs with other excellent WA companies.
Galvin believes that by dedicating more resources and time to its core purpose, it can continue to thrive as an industry pioneer in providing Water Solutions for Healthier Environments in health, education, aged care, and corrections, for decades to come. The three are very proud and thankful for what the entire team has helped build over the last 90 years and look forward to a very bright future for Galvin Engineering.
