| FPA Australia and KFSA sign a Memorandum of Understanding |
The two organizations FPA Australia and KFSA have cemented their commitment to ongoing cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding.
The Fire Protection Association Australia recently welcomed Directors and Senior Officials of the Korea Fire Safety Association (KFSA). The meeting was arranged as an exchange of information between the two Associations, with KFSA particularly interested in Australian building codes and fire safety measures.
The two organisations have cemented their commitment to ongoing cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Scott Williams, CEO of FPA Australia says: “The MOU allows both Associations to work together, sharing resources, information and procedures where relevant and to conduct activities that will provide relevant and up-to-date information to reduce the impact of fires and catastrophic disasters.”
KFSA represents 336,000 members of the Korean Fire Protection Industry and Fire Fighting Professionals. They are the nation’s largest fire safety body, having a reporting role to the Korean Government.
Williams says: “KFSA consider the Australian fire protection industry to be mature, and feel that our experiences can significantly contribute to improved fire safety measures in Korea. We look forward to an ongoing and productive relationship with the KFSA.”
