With Firecom's wireless headsets, first responders are able to connect to the in-cab intercom system and vehicle radios, providing critical, on-scene communication. And now, with Firecom's new belt pack, wired headsets can also communicate wirelessly. The headset and belt pack are ideal for command vehicles, on-scene first responders and ambulance attendants.
With our wireless belt pack, BP5-10, all Firecom headsets communicate wirelessly to a base station mounted on the fire or emergency apparatus, providing secure, digitally encoded communication. In addition to the new wireless belt pack, Firecom's typical fire scene range is 300 to 500 feet, depending on where the base station is installed on a fire or emergency apparatus.
Firecom's wireless headset operates on an interference free band. The headsets and base stations incorporate antenna spatial diversity for a robust RF link. The technology has been utilized in other industries for years but it has not been applied to the fire industry until Firecom introduced the wireless headset.
