Firecom's new wireless belt pack will be launched at FDIC 2009
Company's complete wireless solution will be exhibited at FDIC 2009 in Indianapolis

No wires, no plugs, just crystal clear, mission-critical communication with Firecom's new wireless headset and base station. The wireless headset connects first responders to the in-cab intercom system and vehicle radios, delivering critical on-scene communication.

And now, Firecom's wireless communication system has an increased range of up to 1,100 feet (open field) and a battery life up to 12 hours. A typical fire scene range is 300 to 500 feet, depending on where the base station is installed on a fire or emergency apparatus.

Firecom's wireless headset operates on an interference free band. The headsets and base stations incorporate antenna spatial diversity for a robust RF link. The RF range technology will always out perform Bluetooth technology. The technology has been utilized in other industries for years but had not been applied to the fire industry until Firecom introduced the wireless headset.

Firecom's wireless headset is just as durable and easy to use as a wired headset. In fact, the wireless headset utilizes the same form factor as the wired headset. Communication cords and connectors are no longer an issue and there are no issues with slamming the cords in the door. The only difference between the wireless headset and the wired is that the battery will need to be replaced every few years.
