Fire fighters have been battling a blaze at a warehouse in Cheshire since the early hours on December 2nd, highlighting the importance of carrying out a thorough fire risk assessment.
The Chester Enterprise Centre is only around 100 metres away from Chester's railway station and the fire caused a suspension of services passing through.
Around 60 people have been evacuated from surrounding homes and all others asked to keep windows closed due to the fire, which started at just before 04.00 this morning.
Gus O'Rourke, service group manager at Cheshire Fire and Rescue said: “At the height of the fire, there were 16 fire appliances fighting the fire, which was reminiscent of similar scenes in the same area in 1996.”
"We were keen to act quickly and to give reassurance to residents, many of whom will remember the previous fire in Lightfoot Street a few years ago," Mr O'Rourke said.
"This is a large incident and has required considerable resources and we are working as quickly as possible so that we can reopen roads and minimise disruption to the local community."
