Ferrara Fire Apparatus specialises in custom fire apparatus for increased firefighter safety

Ferrara Fire Apparatus, Inc., America’s premier custom fire apparatus manufacturer, has received the LWCC Safest 70 Award from the Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Corporation (LWCC). The award is in recognition of Ferrara’s “outstanding excellence and commitment to workplace safety,” noted LWCC President & CEO Kristin Wall in presenting the award. The Safest 70 Award is presented annually to 70 Louisiana companies in recognition of their commitment to safety. Approximately 18,000 Louisiana companies are LWCC policyholders.

Ferrara Fire Apparatus President and CEO Chris Ferrara said the recognition was affirmation of the company’s beliefs in improving overall safety. "'Leading the way in firefighter safety’ is more than a slogan for our company. Our commitment to making trucks safer for firefighters to operate starts with the men and women here at our factory. We can’t lead the way in firefighter safety unless we first lead the way with a safe workplace.”

Ferrara Fire Apparatus manufacturers a complete line of fire and emergency vehicles, including their Inferno, Igniter, Ultra, Ember and Intruder 2 custom chassis; pumpers and tankers; rear and mid-mount aerial ladders and platforms; rescue and incident command vehicles; Inundator foam pumpers and the Strong Arm fire rescue vehicle.
