In light of the COVID virus and the possible effects on traveling across Europe, the Euralarm organization committee decided to postpone the GA, Industry Forum and 50th anniversary celebration. The organization committee for the 2020 Euralarm General Assembly, Industry Forum and 50th anniversary celebrations on May 27 and the section meetings on May 28 reviewed the planned activities in light of the COVID virus and the possible effects on traveling across Europe.
Industry Forum And 50th Anniversary
Euralarm takes development around the virus serious and their priority is the health and safety of their members, partners and guests. From the available information it is not clear what the impact will be over the next few months, waiting with a decision to move the planned Euralarm event to a later date will be very difficult to manage.
For the moment, the scheduled section meetings on May 28 are planned to be replaced by a Webex meeting
Based on the above together with the information that several organizations and companies are implementing a travel stop for their employees, the Euralarm organization committee decided to postpone the GA, Industry Forum and 50th anniversary celebration until Thursday October 29 and Friday October 30.
Webex Meeting
The location, programme (including section meetings) and venue will remain the same: Renaissance Hotel, Brussels, Belgium. For the moment, the scheduled section meetings on May 28 are planned to be replaced by a Webex meeting; the user’s section chair will contact the user with more details.
The booking tool on the Euralarm website will be blocked and user will be informed when the tool is available again with the updated information. Those members who already made reservations for the Euralarm events will be contacted by the Euralarm organization committee; in case a member has already made a hotel booking, the Renaissance hotel will contact them once they have received this announcement.
Euralarm counts on their member’s cooperation and hopes to welcome members on their 50th anniversary events later this year.
