Elevation Secondary College, formerly known as Craigieburn South Secondary School, opened its doors to 140 students providing access to state-of-the-art educational facilities. The first stage of the $24 million construction includes a building for specialist subjects, a learning community, an administration building, and hard courts.

The school will accommodate 1,200 students to assist in alleviating enrolment pressures for surrounding schools and to meet the demand of the growing population in Aston, Victoria.

funding

The college aspires to be known as a school of academic excellence, orderly learning environments, inclusiveness, and outstanding opportunities it provides its students and focuses on improving student learning and social well-being outcomes.

To complete the final stage, the school received $25.83 million in funding to complete the construction of new learning neighborhoods, as well as a gymnasium and specialist performing arts and sports hard courts.

The team offers ongoing assistance to plumbing contractors to ensure the correct installation and operation

Galvin Specialised was selected to assist in the design and supply of taps and gas laboratory tapware due to its comprehensive experience in the education sector combined with its passion for providing water solutions for a healthier environment.

The team was further able to offer ongoing assistance to plumbing contractors to ensure the correct installation and operation of its products.

The Challenge

Over the last few years, there have been several national high-profile cases of lead contamination in major construction projects.

The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) has changed its Building Quality Standards Handbook requiring plumbing products and fittings to be ‘Lead-Free’ or ‘Safe’ to improve water quality outcomes.

The Solution

The Galvin Specialised team was able to offer Lead Safe™ product solutions made from quality DZR brass which meet strict Australian standards reducing exposure to harmful chemicals.

Its broad range of reliable and water-efficient remote pushbutton drinking bubblers is specifically designed to deliver safe and clean potable water, particularly in a demanding school environment.
