Dräger, an international pioneer in the fields of medical and safety technology, will showcase a range of systems designed to protect fire and rescue and police personnel, and ensure they return home safely at the end of every shift.
Ultra-light design products
Taking center stage will be Dräger’s next generation Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), the PSS® AirBoss with a Type 4 Nano cylinder. The kit combines best-in-class ergonomics and an ultra-light design for optimal firefighter comfort and uncompromising safety.
Dräger will also show how its FireGround accountability system enables teams to monitor, communicate, and report incidents involving active SCBA users through its new, optimized entry control board (ECB).
HPS AquaRescue
HPS AquaRescue offers emergency personnel in and above the water safety and functionality in action
Making its show debut is Dräger’s new Water Rescue Helmet, the HPS AquaRescue.
Modern and extremely impact-resistant, the HPS AquaRescue offers emergency personnel in and above the water safety and functionality in action, due to a robust helmet shell with water drainage openings, prismatic reflective strips to enhance visibility, and a range of optional accessories that present further protective possibilities.
UCF FireCore® hands-free thermal imaging camera
Another important element to Dräger’s lineup is the UCF FireCore® hands-free thermal imaging camera which displays live-action imagery into Dräger’s FPS 7000 full face mask.
The camera gives firefighters continuous vision in low-visibility, high-risk, and unfamiliar environments that emergencies often present.
Multi-Gas Detectors
Dräger’s Multi-Gas Detectors (MGDs), recently chosen as part of a new framework agreement won across five Fire and Rescue Services in the northwest of England, will also be on show.
They can detect the ‘toxic twins’, hydrogen cyanide, and carbon monoxide, two of the deadliest gases present in fires and post-fire scenes.
Short-duration breathing protection
It also generates positive pressure in the cabin, preventing harmful particulates and gases
On show from Dräger’s Engineered Solutions division is its CBS 1000 Cabin Breathing System and ESS II fresh air system for sealed vehicle cabins. The former provides a compact solution for short-duration breathing protection that is independent of the environmental atmosphere.
The latter delivers a fresh air system that provides occupants with breathing air within seconds. It also generates positive pressure in the cabin, preventing harmful particulates and gases from penetrating the vehicle’s interior.
Respiratory protection and safety
Elizabeth Millward, Marketing Manager Emergency and Rescue Services says Dräger’s line-up is an exciting opportunity to showcase the breadth of Dräger’s expertise.
Elizabeth Millward said, "Our experience and long-standing heritage in respiratory protection and safety mean we have solutions to a vast range of dangers and hazardous environments. Our philosophy in the design of all products is ‘Technology for Life’."
