Firstly, the type of detection being installed has continued to evolve. From the conversations held on the stand, it seems ASD systems continue to rise in popularity with a significant number of visitors coming to their stand to talk about the sites where they have installed these systems and the challenge of then ensuring ongoing testing and maintenance.
From the customer survey’s they’ve known that the use of multi-sensor detectors has also been on the rise, this trend was confirmed by visitors to the stand with many questions around the testing of these devices and how best to achieve this in a compliant manner.
Specialist training companies
The other major topic of discussion was training. This is clearly something the industry has embraced, particularly over the lockdown period and the trend seems to be continuing – with visitors talking about their success in attending training courses run by the Fire Industry Association and specialist training companies such as Zzeus.

All these topics led to some great discussions at the show, in particular, it was great to hear about some of the sites their Scorpion solution is now installed in – including arts venues, universities, retail outlets, and transportation hubs.

As a result of the discussions, they have plenty of enquires related to their Testifire and Scorpion ranges and their team are now well in to the process of following up on these.
