Extinguish fires safely and efficiently without needing to directly access the source of the fire: This is what distinguishes the DRILL-X drill extinguishing device and the RFC CUTTEX cutting extinguishing system.

Which of the two extinguishing systems is used depends largely on the fire department's respective range of operations.

cooling performance

What both extinguishing systems have in common is the ability to fight fires in the initial phase from a safe position. In addition, the emergency crews are not exposed to contamination from soot particles and there is no additional oxygen input at the source of the fire, which greatly reduces the risk of a flue gas explosion.

Both DRILL-X and RFC CUTTEX feature outstanding cooling performance, which enables quick operational success with low water consumption and water damage.

DRILL-X: drilling and extinguishing

The maintenance-free and fail-safe DRILL-X is powered by water from the extinguishing hose

The DRILL-X combines the steps of drilling, penetration, and extinguishing and is particularly suitable for spatially confined fires with a high fire load, such as a roof truss fire. The maintenance-free and fail-safe DRILL-X is powered by water from the extinguishing hose, which means it can be used independently of the vehicle.

The extinguishing nozzles penetrate directly into the fire compartment through the drilled hole, where different extinguishing media (water, low expansion foam, or compressed air foam) can be applied.

Two different drill bits

The flow rate (180 to 800 l/min) and the jet angle (40 to 150°) can also be adapted to the fire area.

Two different drill bits (universal and metal drill bits) can be used to drill through not only a wide variety of roof and wall constructions (wood, insulation materials, plasterboard, sheet metal, etc.), but also objects and structures made of steel (up to 1,000 MPa tensile strength), aluminum, copper, brass, sandwich panels, or composite materials.

RFC CUTTEX: cutting and extinguishing

RFC CUTTEX is an ultra-high-pressure extinguishing system with the function of water jet cutting

The RFC CUTTEX is an ultra-high-pressure extinguishing system with the function of water jet cutting, which combines the steps of cutting and extinguishing in one device. Materials such as wood, brick, metal, or even concrete can be cut through quickly.

It is particularly suitable for fighting fires with a low fire load such as container fires, vehicle fires, or fires in silos. But it also shows its strengths with its fine water mist in challenging situations such as fires in suspended ceilings or angled and elongated structures.

retrofit applications

The cutting nozzle and abrasive container can be fitted to the nozzle without tools, meaning that the extinguishing system can be retrofitted in just a few simple steps, depending on the application.

It can therefore be used flexibly either as a cutting extinguishing system for indoor fires or as a conventional ultra-high-pressure extinguishing system for outdoor fires.

safety of the emergency crews

The two innovative extinguishing systems DRILL-X and RFC CUTTEX kill two birds with one stone: the safety of the emergency crews is increased, and extinguishing efficiency is further improved.

The use of these extinguishing systems opens up entirely new possibilities for the emergency crews, thanks to the ability to quickly and easily reach fire scenes that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to access.
