The decision was made in order to prepare the Association for the future challenges of technical legislation

The Board of Directors at the Council for Aluminium in Building has decided to create the full time role of Technical Director within the Association based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire.

The decision has been made in order to prepare the Association for the future challenges of technical legislation both in the UK and Europe.

The CAB Board of Directors officially recognise the excellent work that has been undertaken by Patrick England, CAB's Technical Consultant, over the last three years. Patrick has offered CAB members an insight into the legislative process at Members’ Meetings and actively supported their concerns in many of the committees and working groups. Patrick will be stepping down from his role at CAB at the end of the year but will remain one of CAB's most active members.

It is hoped the full time position of Technical Director will give CAB an increased presence within its membership and also convey CAB's commitment to this most important role within the industry.

CAB request applicants for the role contact Justin Ratcliffe, CAB's Chief Executive, in writing at the Association's offices in Stonehouse.
