Following the City of Orlando’s order related to the prohibition of alcohol sales where it is consumed on-premise, the Governor issued an executive order that mirrored the city's prohibition related to a bar, nightclub, and tavern establishments.
Additionally, the Governor’s Executive Order, which takes effect at 5 p.m., March 17, 2020, provides specific regulations for restaurants. The City of Orlando, for consistency and to lessen confusion for businesses, will align with the Governor’s Executive Order.
Limited occupancy
To further clarify:
- The prohibition of alcohol sales where it is consumed on-premise at bar, nightclub, and tavern establishments remains in effect. This does not apply to stores where alcohol is sold, but not consumed.
- At 5 p.m., per the Governor’s Executive Order, restaurants within the City of Orlando will be allowed to sell alcohol for onsite consumption. Additionally, restaurants must limit their occupancy to 50% of their current building occupancy. Restaurants should ensure at least a six-foot distance between any groups of patrons and limiting parties to no more than 10 people.
