Committed to innovation, along with the development of trainee engineers, Checkmate began the conversion of an unused mezzanine space into a training area in one of the stores recently.
Working together to utilize more space, a group of engineers and Checkmate’s technical compliance department teamed up to clear out the unwanted clutter and build a wall that runs across the top floor.
As a result, Checkmate has been able to create a facility where the operatives can undertake scenario-based work, fit/remediate fire doors, and build fire stopping solutions in an interactive (and socially distanced) manner.
