Competition highlights new product release

Channellock, a manufacturer of high-quality pliers and assorted hand tools, is holding a sweepstakes aimed at firefighters and emergency responders to promote the release of its #89 Rescue Tool. Prizes range from the #89 Rescue Tool to a trip for two to the 2009 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement ceremony and game on August 9.

The new #89 Rescue Tool combines multiple essential functions into one lightweight tool, including a hardened cutting edge designed to shear through soft metal and standard battery cables.

Prizes offered in the "Eights and Nines" Sweepstakes include:

  • Grand Prize: a trip for two to the 2009 NFL Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony and Game on 8/9/09 (this year's enshrinees: Rod Woodson, Bruce Smith, Bob Hayes, Randall McDaniel, Derrick Thomas and Ralph Wilson, Jr.), plus a custom-engraved #89 Rescue Tool
  • First Prize: a custom-engraved #89 Rescue Tool for you, plus #89 Rescue Tools for everyone in your fire house (note: if the winner is not a member of the fire service, they will donate the tools to the firehouse of the winner's choice. Up to 25 #89 Rescue Tools awarded.)
