An event for all fire and
rescue personnel,  their
friends and families

Six Flags America and the National Volunteer Fire Council have partnered to hold Fire Prevention Days on 2nd - 3rd October and Fire Prevention Days on 9th - 10th October at the Maryland amusement park.

Six Flags America and the National Volunteer Fire Council have partnered to hold Fire Prevention Days at the Maryland amusement park on October 2, 3, 9, and 10 and are looking for fire departments, Fire Corps teams, and junior firefighter programs to help make the event a success. If your department or program has apparatus, a fire prevention presentation or demonstration, or fire prevention materials and would like to participate in this event, click here to submit your idea ASAP, as the event is the next two weekends!

Fire Prevention Days coincides with Fire Prevention Week and is designed to educate the public about important fire prevention and safety information. Departments, Fire Corps teams, and junior firefighter programs can participate in a variety of ways, from distributing fire prevention literature, to hosting a booth, to holding a presentation or demonstration such as a puppet show, fire safety house, fire extinguisher demonstration, or a number of other activities that will spread the messages of fire safety and prevention. The event also provides an opportunity to recruit new volunteers, junior firefighters, and Fire Corps team members from the surrounding area.

Each department or program that participates will receive two free admission tickets to the park that day. All firefighters, emergency personnel, and their families will receive discounted admission tickets to the park for just $19.99 during Fire Prevention Days as a way to say thank you for the work you do to serve the community.

Six Flags America is located in Bowie, MD, just 40 minutes south of Baltimore, 20 minutes east of Washington, D.C., and 15 minutes west of historic Annapolis, MD.
