Rosenbauer launches two new protective boots, the BOROS B2 and the BOROS B3 Cross. These new boots complement the existing boot range in the mid-price segment and are certified according to EN 15090 F2A HI3 CI AN SRC.

The dynamic cut and the ergonomic construction guarantee a very high wearing comfort. Thanks to four different entry and release systems, BOROS firefighting boots can always be optimally adapted to the operating conditions, the individual needs and anatomical conditions (foot, ankle, lower leg) of the wearer, as well as their wearing habits.

BOROS B2: Lace-up with quick-entry

BOROS B2 is the new Rosenbauer lace-up boot. It replaces the TORNADO model, which will no longer be produced by the end of 2023, and features a revised quick-entry and 2-zone lacing system. With this lacing, the forefoot and leg can be tensioned differently, making the BOROS B2 particularly suitable for wearers with uneven foot and lower leg proportions, e.g., with stronger calves but narrow insteps or with a wider forefoot and narrow ankle.

The BOROS B2 is, therefore, ideal for daily and long firefighting operations

Once laced, the distribution of the tension and the set lacing is permanently maintained with the help of two lacing stoppers located at ankle height. The boot is subsequently only closed and opened via the quick-entry zipper when in use. The BOROS B2 is, therefore, ideal for daily and long firefighting operations, because it can be put on in a flash and fits perfectly.

BOROS B3 Cross: lightweight all-rounder

BOROS B3 is the new Rosenbauer short boot. With a boot height of 230 mm (C), it weighs only 2.3 kg per pair in size 43 and is around 300 g lighter than the BOROS B2 with boot height D (290 mm). The BOROS B3 Cross provides reliable protection up to the ankle, which also makes it ideal for rescue operations.

The lacing system has already proven itself with its predecessor TWISTER-cross: a tear-resistant stainless steel cord runs over the boot, is tightened and fixed by means of a push rotary knob, and is released again when the boot is removed. The advantages over classic lacing: one-handed operation and readjustment at any time via the Boa® Dial System, even in the middle of the action.

BOROS B3 Cross is suitable for wearers with even anatomy

The BOROS B3 Cross is particularly suitable for wearers with relatively even anatomy, e.g., a narrow forefoot, narrow ankle, and thin calf or wide forefoot, high instep and strong calf, because it is laced evenly over the entire boot.

BOROS B2 and BOROS B3 Cross are offered in sizes 36 to 52 and in widths 10 and 12, and will be available in the online shop from July and August onwards. They can be pre-ordered immediately via sales partners.

What sets BOROS boots apart?

Each model also has a multi-layer, highly flexible Sympatex membrane

High-tech materials, a sporty design and cut, as well as a perfect fit and high wearing comfort are the trademarks of the BOROS boot collection. The area around the ankle is reinforced with memory foam, which on the one hand nestles around the ankle like a cushion, and on the other provides particularly good cushioning in the event of pressure or impact (ankle protection).

Each model also has a multi-layer, highly flexible Sympatex membrane, which provides excellent climate regulation because it can absorb moisture on the inside of the boot and release it to the outside over a large area. It is designed with a ‘suspended’ finish, creating a pumping effect to dissipate heat and moisture over the top of the leg.

Durable design

The upper material used for BOROS firefighting boots is exclusively water and dirt-repellent buckskin produced in Europe. The outsole is extremely durable and has a tread pattern that provides optimal grip in a temperature range of - 20 °C to + 200 °C, as well as on wet, snow-covered, or icy ground.

The first two models, the BOROS B1 slip-on boot and the BOROS B4 top model with the tried and tested quick-release device system, are available in the online shop and through sales partners.
