Berks Fire Water Restoration, Inc. is prepared to respond to the need to control, decontaminate, and disinfect for infectious disease. The trained team of professional restorers is prepared to respond. They are available for expertise and guidance to the people and organizations in the region they serve.

For over 20 years, BFW have been providing: Trauma Scene, Biohazard, and Decontamination services. Most recently the team was trained by ISSA expert, Mark Warner, on Infectious Disease and Biohazard Decontamination at the Restoration Technical Institute.

Team Groundwork

In preparation to respond and be a source of education and guidance for the communities, the following are some of the things that have been happening behind the scenes:

  • Train and Retrain: The teams are being educated and re-educated on protocols for decontaminating buildings that may have been affected by a biological contaminant, virus, including the current strain of coronavirus.
  • In addition to staying on top of all information and developments regarding the coronavirus, the team is also staying abreast of all the latest developments available as restoration professionals and responders. The industry organizations, suppliers, and manufacturers are providing on-going information.
  • Supply and Equipment Inventories: The team is proactively managing the supply and equipment inventories in the case that there is a need to respond. In addition, they are monitoring any potential supply shortages so that they do not experience a disruption in the normal service offerings.

Public Resource

BFW’s responsibility and commitment are not only found in the ability to respond, but possibly more importantly, in the commitment to educate and be a resource.
