The award recognizes the work undertaken throughout 2020/2021 by the FPA to revolutionize its digital services by launching two new websites and a CRM system to improve customer engagement, integrating a third-party security tool throughout all digital platforms to protect the members, delivering two successful virtual events, and implementing a new webinar platform to improve member engagement and also in the process of launching an app to improve accessibility to digital products.

Both websites (www.thefpa.co.uk and www.riscauthority.co.uk) are continually releasing new resources including relevant documents, advice, and guidance blogs to help our members with fire safety questions, toolkits that include a CPD tracker for members, and a cladding compliance toolkit so building owners can access the correct cladding legislation regarding their building.

Thanks to the transformation, members can also now access member-exclusive content in the members’ area of the FPA website including a personalized member certificate, an exclusive member logo, an archive of topical webinars and fire safety videos, and Fire & Risk Management Journal Library.

Furthermore, the new CRM system automates email campaigns setup specifically for members to guide them through the benefits of their membership and direct them to relevant resources based on their job role and the industry they work in.

FPA Digital Specialist, James Stone said, “The COVID-19 pandemic meant that 2020-2021 saw the FPA revolutionize its digital output to accommodate a significant change in the way we deliver our content. This was new territory but during this time we thrived. Attendance of online events and webinars grew considerably, we saw an increase of 144% in members logging into the website, and visitors coming to the website for advice and guidance rose to 193,000; a 73% increase from the previous year. We’re delighted that our work has been recognized by the Association Awards by making the shortlist for Best Digital Transformation and we eagerly await the outcome at the awards ceremony next week.”
