The AW Technology story started over 25 years ago when AW Technology supplied its first test tunnels to the market. Since then, the business has grown significantly to become a pioneer supplier of Fire Detection technology to the global market.

However, this transformation isn’t something that was achieved overnight and it’s taken years of hard work, dedication, passion and technical expertise to develop AW Technology into the global operation.

Fire detection technology

David Haigh, Tunnel Product Manager, at AW Technology, described the journey that AW Technology has undertaken: “We’re incredibly proud of what AW Technology has achieved since its inception in 1990. We now have a truly global client base that is actively engaged with us in helping shape the future direction of Fire Detection technology.”

This philosophy has remained at the core of our work and the dedicated AW Technology team"

Our aim when we started out was to help provide technology that could be utilized by the fire detection and alarm industry to help improve the standards of fire safety. This philosophy has remained at the core of our work and the dedicated AW Technology team are continuing to push the boundaries with regards to technology in; airflow, aerosol control, aerosol measurement, detector interfacing, electronics and software.”

Modern construction and architecture

We are now starting to see more and more of our technology being utilized in projects throughout the developing world, which is fantastic news as it will only help raise the standards of fire detection technology in these areas. We understand that as a business we can’t stand still, which is why we are constantly working on developing our technology and process to ensure we can stand up to the rigors of modern construction and architecture.”

With the expertise, commitment and professionalism that I see every day from our team, there’s no doubt that AW Technology will continue to be the leading independent provider of technology to the fire detection and alarm industry for many years to come.”
